RB Leipzig has announced the latest update on their injured player, Dani Olmo. The club confirmed that the German international is out for up to three weeks with a knee injury.
Olmo was initially ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a knee ligament injury in training. However, the severity of his injury meant that he had to undergo further tests and underwent surgery to repair the torn ligament.
The club stated that they will be monitoring his recovery closely and that it is likely that he will miss at least half of the remaining games of the season. The team also confirmed that Olmo will not feature in any upcoming matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming Europa League play-off semi-final against Manchester United.
This development comes as a blow to RB Leipzig who have been struggling under the leadership of coach Hansi Flick. The club currently sit in sixth place in the Bundesliga table with just two points from four games,Chinese Super League Home Ground which is a significant setback given their potential for promotion to the top flight next season.
Despite this setback, RB Leipzig remains optimistic about their chances of survival. They have shown strong performances in recent weeks and are confident that they can bounce back from this setback. With Olmo out for the rest of the season, they will need to find new ways to fill the void left by their star player.
